Employment ACX.com - Amazon Audbiobook Exchange. On this site you can audition for and narrate thousands of books that will be published on Amazon, Audible and Itunes. AudioFile Magazine - Source for audio book narrators, castings, etc. Behind the Voice Actors - Information on casting, comings and goings of voice over and personalities Fiverr.Com - This site allows you to create (among other things), voiceovers for perspective clients. Freelancer.com - Create a profile, and then bid on voiceover gigs. Also for almost any other kind of service you can provide. Indeed.com - Jobs site, full time, freelance and contract Mandy.com - Jobs Platform for Cast, Crew and Creative Professions Patreon.com - Fans help support your creative endeavors via a monthly membership Voices.com - Pay to Play Site. Also has resources and podcasts VO Planet - Pay to play site. Smaller and less well known that Voices.com or Voices123._ Voices123 - Pay to play site, analogous to Voices.com in size.
Networking, Marketing, Organizations ACX Narrators and Producers - Facebook group that specializes in audiobook advice for Amazon and Audible. Edge Studio - This site is not only a premier gateway for training and coaching, but also contains a great many free resources. Twitter - A wonderful resource for networking (other artists, authors, agents, etc) and finding out links to other educational sources). Voiceover Artists United - Website for voiceover artist to network. Also valuable resources. VO Peeps.com - Social networking site. Has many useful videos from top voiceover talents and coaches. World Voices.Org - Voiceover from the business end. Helps to establish rates, education standards, and networking. Rhett Kennedy Twitter Lists - This is my list of people and organizations on Twitter. Includes voiceover artists, publishing houses, coaches, marketing and business and the like. Work in progress.
Podcasts and videos Talkin Toons with Rob Paulsen - Excellent Podcast with Rob Paulsen (voice actor extraordinaire) and innumerable personalities from the world of animation. VO Buzz Weekly - Video Podcast by Chuck Duran and Stacey J. Aswad with various personalities from the voiceover world. including free weekly webinars, free practice scripts and evaluations and advice from the forums. Highly recommended. Anne Ganguzza - Youtube videos on various aspects of the voiceover industry. Anne is heavily involved with World Voices.org
Reviews Audiobook Blast - This is an audiobook review site that will allow you to give away a portion of your free ACX codes for $10.00. The people have to review the book and write a detailed review. Audiobook Reviewer - This is a site that allows you to submit your some of your Free ACX codes so people will review, for free DeseraeV - Deserae is a very kind person who reviews books. And if you are very nice to her she may review your book too.
Technical, Hardware, Software Adobe Audition - Audio Software that is professional and you can rent on a monthly basis. Avid - Home of the Pro Tools audio software Audacity Software - This is free audio software that many voiceover talents start on. It's robust and works well. It is also free! Musician's Friend - Online music store that I've used in the past. Presonus - Maker of Preamps, audio plug-ins and Studio 1 software. Many great tutorials as well. Reaper - Audio software that is low cost and fairly robust Sweetwater - This is an online music store that comes with high reviews both for good pricing and a reputation for incredible customer support.
Coaching Edge Studio - This site is not only a premier gateway for training and coaching, but also contains a great many free resources. Elaine Clark - Voiceover artist, founder of Voice One and author of There's Money Where Your Mouth Is, a very important book in Voiceover. Gary Terzza - British voice actor and coach. Has some interesting videos on YouTube. GVAA - Global Voice Acting Academy. It's a one stop online coaching shop, as well as business advice, and demo creation. Kind, honest people with fair rates. I can't recommend them enough. Pat Fraley - Voice actor luminary whose site contains sage advice and downloadable training and coaching. Sara Clawson - Professional, kind, funny and all around wonderful coach in the SF Bay area.
Voiceover Artists, Select Bob Souer - Voiceover artist who has a very valuable listing of VO Blogs and Voice Artists. Demos Dave and Dave - Full service demo production, well established. Demos that Rock - Chuck Duran's (Creator of VO Buzz Weekly) demo business . Ear Blowing Audio Productions - Creates demos for Voiceover, particularly with imaging and promos. GVAA - Global Voice Acting Academy, as mentioned above, also helps create demos. Marc Graue - Full service recording studio. Pat Fraley Teaches - Pat isn't just a coach, he also does demos. Red Baarns Audio - Don Baarns audio engineering special. VoiceTrax West - Full service recording studio.
